Getting traffic to a new website seems to be an uphill climb, but there are ways.
But before you begin thinking about traffic make sure you have done your homework with your website and taken care of the on site factors. While it is true that off page SEO has more clout with the search engines, having your website ready is like laying the foundation for a house. Everything will build from there.

1. Have good content on your website. Original content is best. If you are going to use private label content on your site, it is still a good idea to rewrite it in your own words. And it doesn't hurt to add a little new content in to make it even more unique.

2. Make sure your site navigation is in place and that there are no dead ends or dead links.

3. Use your keywords within your copy, but don't overdo it. Keyword stuffing is not well tolerated by the search engines any more. Just make sure each page of your site is on topic and makes sense.

4. Link your pages to one another within the copy wherever it makes sense to do so.
